Weekend update Guard units, and motor pool.

Mad Doc here with more news of  the Guard, and its progress. It will not matter how many they are they will all die by the hands of the Orc! But let them make a good show of it.

Here you see I have completed another squad of guard.
Add one more squat squad to the ranks. The yellow units this time around.
These tanks were in various states of work, so with some dip, paint, and a canvas cover they they just need dull coat applied to mark them as complete.

Until next time.

MadDoc the mini

Well I won a GorkaMorka Pain boy (Bad Doc) from eBay this week. I was able to make an offer less then the other listed, some were as high as $50 for a painted one, and $35. for new in box. As I am going to open it, and paint it my self they did not enter my wish list. I made a good offet of $15. and the seller took the offer. With shipping it was a total of $18.50. That is a bit high for me as i like to buy supper cheap, but I needed a mini for my new Google Profile "MadDoc Gubbins".

Out of the package, here is the Doc

An overnight in the dip (paint remover) here he is.

Now I re-assembled him and tweaked him just a bit, and gave him a new GM base, with extra stability added.

Orc vehicle contest My entry

Well I started my entry for this contest. It is going  to be a gun truck, manned by goblins. I am still working it out in my head, but as per the rules here are photos of the base of the model. Now I can not win as I am hosting the contest on my G+ community "Space Orcs" but I need to be in it.

My own personal challenge is to do this truck with our spending one cent on it. I have to make it with what I have in my house. Well I found the wheels on one of my son's broken hot wheels in the back yard.

The bulk of this is plastic card stock, and the cab is not solid but I put it together like a box. I also found that using scissors for cutting cloth the zigzag pattern work on card stock.

Here is the truck next to a boy.

Well this is the first round of photos for this contest.

Please if you have any interest in Space Orciod types join the group.

Orc Commandos painted WIP.

The Commandos, how should I pant them up, what should they look like, well here is one way I thought they should look. I have created a progress photo stream of my work on 4 of my Orc Commandos today.

Start with some GZG mercs, and a few paints. I used Green, Antique white, sable brown, Black, red, yellow, white, silver (metallic), Polyshades dip, Testers dull coat.

With the two colours below I mixed up most of the uniform, gun, armour, and boots.

Bellow are the Orcs ready for dip, and I have brushed it on.

Once the dip is dry, I sprayed with dull coat, and hit some detail work.

Only thing left is to finish up the bases. Then put them to work.

Kit bashed Orc Tank.

Well after reading a blog post from Zrune Lord http://castrarunis.blogspot.com/ I decided to give it a go and created a tank thing for my self. This is a card stock hull, with odd bitz glued to it. Tank wheels are GW tanks wheels. Tread is PC flat cable. Big gun left over from another tank, all slapped together with supper clue.

The welds are 2 part epoxy putty (like green stuff) rolled out to a thin line. Placed over a joint
then I poke it with a pin, or pen on an angle to make the welds.

Enjoy.
